How to Register for PMKVY Online

  1. Visit the Official Portal: Go to www.skillindia.gov.in or the PMKVY official website.
  2. Click on 'Candidate Registration': Find the registration link on the homepage.
  3. Enter Personal Details: Fill in your name, date of birth, mobile number, and Aadhaar number.
  4. Verify via OTP: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number linked with Aadhaar.
  5. Select Your Course & Sector: Choose the sector and job role you want to train in.
  6. Choose a Training Center: Pick an empanelled PMKVY training center near you.
  7. Submit & Download Acknowledgment: Submit the form and save the registration confirmation for your records.

How to Register Offline

If you do not have internet access, you can register directly at a nearby PMKVY-empanelled Training Center. The center staff will assist with the registration process. You will need to carry original copies of all required documents.

  1. Visit a recognized PMKVY Training Partner (TP) or Training Center (TC) in your district.
  2. Ask for the enrollment form and fill it out with the help of center staff.
  3. Submit photocopies of all required documents.
  4. Receive your enrollment acknowledgment slip.

Is PMKVY Training Free?

Yes — for eligible candidates, PMKVY training is completely free of cost. The Government of India funds the training through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). In some cases, candidates may also receive a monetary reward upon successful certification, depending on the scheme phase and job role.

After Registration: What Happens Next?

  • You will be contacted by the training center to confirm your batch start date.
  • Training will begin as per the course schedule.
  • Upon completion, a third-party assessment will be conducted.
  • Successful candidates receive their NSQF-aligned skill certificate.
